Richard Moffat is the owner of Richard Moffat, Inc., d/b/a Richard Moffat Auction Service. Richard (Rick) graduated from Gateway College of Auctioneering in 1982. He has been a licensed auctioneer in the State of Missouri since 1983. Rick has conducted real estate auctions in 18 counties, and personal property auctions in over 25 counties. He has also conducted auctions of farm machinery, century year old homesteads, households, antiques, collections of all types, business liquidations, coins and currency, restaurant liquidations, real estate, land, farms, houses, estates, guns, Indian artifacts, vehicles, recreational vehicles, pottery, stoneware, glassware and personal and real property of all types and kinds. He regularly conducts 60-80 auctions each year, and has been conducting auctions for 31 years.
Richard is active in the community he lives in by participating in youth events and conducting benefit auctions, he has worked for various churches, schools, fairs, FFA, 4-H, and other non-profit entities, as well as charitable benefits for people in personal or medical crisis.
Richard is a member of the Missouri Professional Auctioneers Association (MPAA) and the National Auctioneers Association. He has served as President and Vice President on the Board of Directors for MPAA.
Richard Moffat Auction Service has a business office at 507 E. High Street, in Jefferson City MO.. Rick and his wife, Melanie, own an auction facility (The Moffat Center) which is located about 15 minutes east of Jefferson City, off of Highway 50. The Moffat Center is a 12,000 square foot building and is located on 23 scenic acres.
